CPCCOHS1001A-Construction Induction

Course Overveiw:

A general construction induction card (previously known as a 'red card') is issued to a person who successfully completes training in the unit of competency 'CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry'.

Requirement under the law for general construction induction:

All people doing construction work in Victoria must have successfully completed a general construction induction course recognised by Victoria law before they start work in any construction activity.

Course Requirements:
• Applicants must provide proof of identity at enrolment.
Some of the accepted I.D are listed below.
- Drivers Licence – Australian with photo.
MUST be current
- Drivers Licence Permit – Australian with photo.
MUST be current.
- Licence to Perform High Risk Work - MUST be current
- Keypass ID card – with photo.
- Consumer Affairs Victoria Proof of Age Card – with photo
• We are unable to allow participation in the course without
the said identification.
• Applicants that arrive without the required ID cannot
participate in training.
• Once the applicant has successfully completed the
course, they will be issued with a Statement of
Attainment allowing the applicant to obtain access onto a
construction site. This is valid for 60 days from the date
of the course.
• WorkSafe Victoria issues the C.I Card within this period.
