Funded/ Subsidy Training Programs
Geelong Training Academy offer many types of funded training programs that are offered under that Victorian State government “Training Guarantee”. For every eligible person seeking to undertake accredited training where industry can generate demand for training from eligible people the Victorian Government will provide funding to support that training. These Victorian Government subsidies assist eligible students to cover a large majority of the course fees. In some courses the course fees are as small as $120 per student but there are some conditions.
Eligibility for subsidised training
There is some eligibility Criteria that students need to meet to gain subsided training
Step 1 Meet citizenship/ residency Requirements
Step 2 Meet the Age requirements
• Between 15 to 24 Years of age
• Over 25 for retrenched
Step 3 Level of prior qualification
• Is the course that the student is applying for higher than any qualification that the student already holds (a trade certificate is classed as a Certificate III) Courses offered by GTA that attract Subsidies course fees
• Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations
• Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage)
• Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage)
• Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport)
• Certificate III in Driving Operations
